Last Friday, I was invited by Bakebe to their Co-Baking Studio in Hong Kong to bake a cake with their bakebe app. They created their own app to show the customers what to do – step by step. To be honest, I was really excited because making deserts/cakes was not one of my talents and I couldn’t believe that I can bake a cake without any cooking teacher.
First, the staff has shown me where to get all the ingredients, tools and oven. The studio itself was very professional, everything was so well organised, fully equipped with all you need and clean. They passed me an iPad and then I wore my cute apron. Soon afterwards, I followed the apps guidance to prepare all the ingredients. Bakebe’s app was user-friendly and each step has shown me very clear what to do next – and they even had small videos and pictures to explain the single steps.
I had a lot of fun, even decorated my pretty cake.
This beautiful cake is called “Baby On The Cloud”. You can choose your favourite colours and decorations. I choose dark chocolate (I love dark chocolate).
I learned how to frost a cake (was not perfect but I had a lot of fun), how to cut the cake and to make it flat. During the baking time, you can get water, tea and coffee. Keep calm and relax :-). The class took around 2.5 hours, which was a perfect amount of time for a quick activity. I shared my cake with my family and they loved the taste.
Bakebe had a really cool idea, it was so much fun, really enjoyable. You don’t need to book a teacher, no need to have experience. Just bring yourself. That’s awesome, right? I can’t wait to go back again.
